Leaving Bristol
Goodbye from BISC
So, it’s the end of your time in Bristol?
Thank you so much for being part of our community! We’re sorry to see you go - BISC simply wouldn’t be the fun and vibrant place it is without international students around. It’s always amazing for us to see how friendship crosses the borders of cultures and countries. Many of us wouldn’t be the same if we hadn’t met people from around the world. It’s such a strength to be able to learn about different ways of life.
We hope that your time in the UK has been a good experience. It’s always challenging to be away from home - particularly when you’re in a country which confusingly has two taps in a bathroom, whose people are always apologising and whose shops close so early! Well done for settling into life here and thank you for choosing to come to our country. It’s been a pleasure to have you.
As you move into your next phase of life, we want you to know we won’t forget you. Every year at BISC is different and we’re so thankful for all the memories you’ve created with us and other students. We have so many wonderful photos of your smiling faces. Even though you’re going back into a busy life, we hope that you will look back and remember the joy of being together. To jog your memory, we’ve prepared a few recipes which you may have eaten at BISC: our classic brownies and Hiro’s Beef Noodles. Good luck!
At BISC, we try to create an atmosphere of fun and acceptance - this is because we’re Christians and we strongly believe everyone is equal, important and unique. Our team is so keen to welcome everyone and anyone because we know that we’ve been welcomed by Jesus. If any of you want to know more about the life of Jesus you can read about it in a book called Luke, which you can find here.
Please continue to support our work by praying for us, signing up to our newsletter, making a donation, spreading the word about BISC to other international students, or even volunteering with us if you ever return to Bristol!
We wish you all the best in your future - whatever it may bring. You will always be welcome back in Bristol.
